Principal
Lois Koufman is the founder of Affirmative Alternatives, having established the company in 1982.
 
In addition to successfully operating Affirmative Alternatives, Lois has served as an Adjunct Faculty Member of the Center For Creative Leadership since 1989.
 
Lois is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) by the North Carolina Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and has been certified as a practitioner of Critical Incident Stress Debriefing.
 
Lois is a Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP).
 
Lois has previously served on the board of the American Society for Training and Development. She has been both the President of and a Board member of a local chapter of Toastmasters International.  Lois is a member, and a previous Board member, of the North Carolina Society for Clinical Hypnosis.
 
Lois holds a B.A. from Brandeis University and an M. Ed. from Wake Forest University.
